Carrie Underwood Opens Up About Not Being Able To Do What She Loves
During a recent interview, Carrie Underwood opened up about not being able to sing.
For Carrie, that time in her life took a tremendous toll on her mental and emotional well being.
As you know, the country star had to have over 40 stitches in her face after a bad fall outside her home last year.
In an interview with Vulture, right around the time of the accident, Carrie was recording music for her then upcoming album, Cry Pretty.
Due to having stitches in and outside her mouth, Carrie had to delay returning to the studio — As it was impossible for her to sing.
When she finally did return, she felt as though her singing voice had changed.
As Carrie tells it, she became self conscious about her voice and wondered if she was moving her mouth differently or pronouncing her m’s, b’s, and p’s correctly.
While those in the studio with her insisted she sounded great, it took a while for Carrie to feel comfortable while recording.
These days, Carrie is back in her groove and physically and emotionally healed from her scary ordeal.
