Man Who Walked 20 Miles For First Day Of Work Given CEO’s Car
Walter Carr was all set to begin a new job with a moving company when his car broke down the night before.
But rather than call off, Carr began walking – 20 miles, in the middle of the night, to get to work on time. He ended up being the first to arrive.
After Walter’s story began making the rounds on Facebook, the CEO of the company traveled to Alabama and handed Carr the keys to a 2014 Ford Escape, which was the CEO’s personal car.
Carr, who is a college student moved to Alabama after losing his home in Hurricane Katrina, he says he hopes his story inspires others. He also admitted that “my shoes was really killing me that day”.
