Vince Gill, Amy Grant Show Us What Christmas Really Means
“Another tender Tennessee Christmas, the only Christmas for me.” Amy Grant makes no bones about it in that holiday classic, and these days she and hubby Vince Gill are showing Americans exactly what that means.
The couple appeared this week on NBC’s Today as they deliver Amy Grant & Vince Gill: Christmas At The Ryman, a series of shows at the famed music venue that have become a seasonal tradition in Nashville over the years. So what does Christmas mean to them? “Family and showing love,” Amy offered.
Added Vince, “Christmas means safe. I feel safe.”

Vince and Amy are grandparents these days, which has given everyone in the family a new perspective on the holiday. “The experience for me is watching your children finally understand what it means to love,” Vince says. “And in that kind of unconditional way where they go, ‘Oh, now I see how you feel about us.'”
