Matthew McConaughey Delivers 4,500 Thanksgiving Turkeys
Last year, Matthew McConaughey became the “chief storyteller” of the bourbon company Wild Turkey. Since then, you may have noticed the actor popping up in ads or events.
Recently, the Texas superstar decided to put his fame aside and give back to a community. Wild Turkey is a company that is based out of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. He decided to give back to the locals by surprising the locals with a turkey. The company recorded the entire process for a YouTube video where it shows McConaughey driving a truck to deliver the frozen birds. In total, he dropped off 4,500 turkeys.
People in the small town don’t have to worry about purchasing the main dish for their Thanksgiving meals! Those who were handed a frozen bird were shocked to see Matthew was standing at their door.
Towards the end of the video, he even manages to stop by a wedding party to surprise an unsuspecting bride. What an amazing moment!
Not only did McConaughey and Wild Turkey donate thousands of turkeys, they also dropped off 580 birds at local food banks and nursing homes. If this doesn’t make you have an even bigger crush on the actor, he also helped to donate around 50,000 meals to the Share Our Strength organization which helps to feed families in need.
This Thanksgiving, Matthew and Wild Turkey definitely demonstrated the spirit of giving. The community in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky is awfully lucky to have folks like these helping them out.
Keep spreading the love, everyone!
