Man Receives a Traffic Ticket After Singing in His Car
We have all been there. You are jamming in your car and you lose track of where you are.
Well, imagine being mid-rock out session and having a police officer pull you over. A man in Montreal stated that he is now being fined $117 for, well, singing.
Taofik Moalla was driving home in September when the song “Gonna Make You Sweat” came on the radio. We have to admit, if that song came on the radio, we would want to jam out too! Moalla was signing “everybody dance now” at the top of his lungs when he realized red and blue lights flashing behind him. A police office pulled him over and asked what he was doing.
Since al Moalla was doing was singing, he replied “nothing” to the police officer. According to the Canadian Broadcasting Company, the officer asked him if he screamed loudly. Moalla quickly explained what he was doing and how he just enjoying his favorite song.

Well, the police officer did not believe Moalla. After he received his license and registration, he gave him a ticket for $149 Canadian dollars of $117 USD. Needless to say, Moalla was shocked by the expensive charge.
He told CTV Montreal “I don’t know if my voice was very bad and that’s why I got the ticket, but I was very shocked. I understand if they are doing their job, they are allowed to check if everything’s okay, if I kidnapped someone or if there’s danger inside, but I would never expect they would give me a ticket for that.”
Moalla is currently in the process of contesting the ticket in court. He is still waiting for his court date. According to the Huffington Post, receiving a court date could take up to a year.
After that ticket, we are sure he is going to be more careful about his singing voice.
