Florida Georgie Line: Smooth Tour Is Like Summer Camp
Kids love summer camp, but sooner or later everyone has to grow up. Unless you’re Florida Georgia Line, that is.
The superstar duo has spent most of this summer on the road with the Smooth Tour featuring both Nelly and the Backstreet Boys. Or as Brian Kelley refers to it, “summer camp.” “We get the brotherhood back on the road, the good vibes,” he says through their record label. “We get Nelly [and] Chris Lane [and] we love those boys. It’s just amazing. We are brothers out there [so] you’re comfortable. I mean it feels like summer camp, adult summer camp out there.”
Summer camp with fans, of course. “You look out and you see a bunch of different people with different stories all speakin’ the same language of music and it’s pretty freaking cool,” Kelley continues. “So we’re proud of that: creating a space where people can come and celebrate, party, get spiritual [and] bring you to church on ‘H.O.L.Y.” … We love it. We’re thankful for this tour. It feels like we’ve got everything dialed in. I think it’s our best set yet.”
When summer ends, however, so does summer camp. That’s the case, too, with the Smooth Tour, which lasts only through late October. Check out the remaining dates here.
