Kenny Chesney Heads To The Studio For Hurricane Irma Relief
Kenny Chesney has gotten very busy in recent days figuring out ways to help relief efforts in the U.S. and British Virgin Islands, which were hit particularly hard by Hurricane Irma.
Judging by his social media accounts, music is one way the superstar is planning to help. “In the studio recording music to help the Virgin Islands,” he posted on Instagram with a couple of pictures on September 11th. It’s not clear yet what exactly he’s recording, but the “No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems” singer has also created merchandise around his newly created Love For Love City Foundation.
The posts come after an open letter to fans Kenny posted on his website a few days ago. “I don’t know right now how we’re going to do this,” he wrote in part. “But I want to help. I want to enlist my friends to figure out the best ways to make a difference, to help in whatever ways, small or larger, that we can. I’m blessed with so many great people … We’re already talking, trying to figure out how to get in there. And I know the No Shoes Nation is mighty. They’ve dug in before and made a difference. I have a feeling once we have our plans in the place, they’ll be there again.” See the entire letter and make a donation to Kenny’s effort here.
