Heads Up Tampa area school Hurricane make up days ahead. Wow. glad that’s over. aren’t you? Talking about Hurricane Season 2022. Whew. What a mess for Florida, even though Tampa Bay dodged more than one big bullet. We had a normal 14 named storms. That’s in name only. Hurricane Ian was the biggest hitter in the US, literally. NOAA and Colorado State had both predicted above average activity for the year. Thankfully, they were both wrong.  Be sure and check out all the Famous Tampa Bay area students below too! The Plan: Tampa Bay Area Schools Will Schedule Hurricane Make Up Days…

• Hillsborough County

  They will lose 1 day of Winter Break. Could be worse, kids.

• Pinellas County

  Plan to lose 1 day of Spring Break. Not too bad. Remember kids in South Florida lost their entire house.

• Pasco County

  The Pasco Schools say they are just “tweaking” their daily school bell schedules. So, you can still be late to class now and then, just like old times ; )

• Polk County

  Seniors will attend the last day of school on May 17th. But, not to to worry. Usually not a lot of homework on your last day.

• Citrus County

  December 21st and 22nd are Full School Days. Ug. Yea, this one hurts. Sorry, kids. If it makes you feel any better – not sure your teachers are thrilled either.

• Hernando County

  December 14th and 15th are Full School Days. See above comments about Citrus.
