4 Great schedule tips for watching The Children’s Gasparilla Parade and Pirate Fest. It’s tomorrow in Tampa, and officials are expecting over a quarter of a million spectators to line the streets to watch the event. The fun begins at noon on Saturday with the Gasparilla Air Invasion, which is set to be the largest airshow yet, featuring civilian aerobatic teams, vintage military aircraft, and the Chuters parachute demonstration team. At the same time, a bicycle rodeo will take place where kids can receive a safety lesson and a free helmet. Later in the day. We can also watch The Children’s Gasparilla Parade on Fox13

  • Preschooler's Stroll

2 p.m., the Gasparilla preschooler’s stroll will commence, which is considered the fastest-growing Gasparilla tradition. Kids five and under can participate in the parade along Bayshore Boulevard.

  • Parade Starts at 4

The main parade begins at 4 p.m., and is widely considered the largest kids event in the United States. The parade will feature pirates, floats, and marching bands, and will start at Bay to Bay Boulevard and Bayshore Boulevard, before heading north along Bayshore and ending at Edison Avenue.

  • Night Air Invasion At 7

After the parade, attendees can enjoy a nighttime air invasion with a precision parachute jump, followed by a pyrotechnic finale at 7 p.m., recreating the battle between Ye Mystic Krewe and the city of Tampa.

  • Kid Safety And Parking

Due to the large scale of the event, Hillsborough law enforcement officials recommend that parents take a photo of their child and what they’re wearing to the parade, in case they get separated in the crowd. They also suggest parking in designated areas, and using shuttles or a free trolley service to navigate the parade route.
