See 7 New Restaurants we hope will bring Waterstreet Tampa back baby. Water Street Tampa is set to see the opening of two new full-service dining concepts in the coming weeks, with Boulon Brasserie and Wagamama set to bring a new level of street-level experience to the district. Boulon, a French restaurant by Tampa restaurateur Jeff Gigante, is set to open on January 24th, while Asian restaurant Wagamama will open its doors on February 11th. These are the first full-service dining concepts to open within Water Street, though there are several within Sparkman Wharf, the mixed-use development that acts as the district’s southern anchor.

Water Street has seen steady development since its first residents moved into apartment tower Heron in 2021, with the opening of Publix GreenWise Market, apartment towers Cora and Asher and the buzzy Edition hotel, which includes 38 luxury condos on its upper floors. Office tower Thousand & One is also home to the corporate headquarters of Tampa cybersecurity firm ReliaQuest.

Despite this, the pedestrian level experience, which developer Strategic Property Partners has long touted as Water Street’s differentiator, has lagged behind. However, with the openings of Boulon and Wagamama, regular foot traffic is set to be drawn to the district, marking the beginning of a new era for Water Street. Source TBBJ
