If you’re a fan of the old, classic country, then let us introduce you to Josiah Siska. He’s a Georgia boy with the gift of storytelling in his music. Some of his musical influences are: Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, and Johnny Cash (of course). Josiah was quick to learn all of Johnny Cash’s songs and loved performing them because he could sing them in the original key. He stopped by Studio QYK to give us an exclusive performance of some songs from his debut EP. He also told some stories of how he grew up a preachers kid, but would only listen to the morals of Charlie Daniels, Johnny Cash, and Hank Williams.

Josiah moved to Nashville when he turned 18, and that’s where his music career took off. He met and built connections with Mark Miller, the front man of Sawyer Brown. This connection grew to a mentorship that would change Josiah’s world. This fateful relationship ultimately led Josiah to his recording, publishing, and management deals.

Fast forward to August, 26, 2022 when he released his debut EP Three Chords at a Time. The EP is a testament to his love of storytelling and of writing the story itself. Siska co-wrote five of the seven songs with his “Nashville family” and featured some of Music City’s best songwriters.

Josiah stopped by Studio QYK to perform a few songs for us. We got to hear “Better Man,” “Three Chords At A Time,” “3 Tequila Floor,” and even “On My Way Over”.
