Being married in the entertainment industry is challenging, as many marriages end in divorce. It's even more difficult when you're a high profile celebrity. So to be married strong for a long time in country music is something to be celebrated. Fortunately, there are many country music couples that have stood the test of time.

As we gear up for the 2023 wedding season in May and June, we take a look at some strong holding country music marriages through the years.

Chris Stapleton and Morgane Hayes

Married since 2007 - Chris likes to keep his private life private, but we know that he met singer-songwriter Morgane Stapleton when they were working at adjacent publishing houses in Nashville in 2007. The couple married the same year. They have five children together. She also contributes vocals to many of his songs and frequently tours with him.


Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood

Married since December 10, 2005 - Garth and Trisha have been happily married for 17 years; they met when they both came to Nashville in the 1980s to pursue music and sang demos together. They were friends for many years.

Dolly Parton and Carl Dean

Married since May 30, 1966 - They married in Ringold, Georgia. Dolly and Carl, who famously stays out of the spotlight, have been married for 57 years. On their 50th wedding anniversary, the couple renewed their wedding vows in a ceremony with family and friends near the Nashville home they have shared since 1969.

Married since October 6, 1997 - The couple met and started to date on McGraw's "Spontaneous Combustion" tour in 1996. They have three grown daughters together and celebrate their 27th wedding anniversary this October.

Nancy Brooks has been working in the country music industry for almost 30 years. She has interviewed pretty much any country star you can think of. In the late 1990s, she started working with Dolly Parton. And yes, Nancy reports that Parton is as sweet as you would think. She loves her life in country music and has been backstage at every CMA Awards show since the late 1990s. Many of her stories are from her one-on-one interviews.
