Tampa Bay’s Morning Krewe and 99.5 QYK salute our military men and women each week. If you know someone in the military here in the Bay area who deserves to be recognized, nominate them for Military Mondays.

  Steve has just retired after 21 years of active duty in the Army as a 1st Sergeant. He has been deployed 8 times, and is a Purple Heart recipient among many other accolades.

  Justin was born and raised right here in Tampa Bay. He is active duty with the United States Coast Guard. He was a responder to the Baltimore bridge collapse where he is stationed

  Marlana has been in the Army Reserves for about 5 years now and has done a lot more than the typical Reservists would. She goes above and beyond for everyone and everything she does.

  Tristan was born and raised in Florida he has been in the Army for four years and is currently deployed.

  Will is a Corpsman in the Navy Reserves. He graduated from East Bay in 2018 and entered the Navy that August. On his off-duty time on the funeral detail playing Taps.

  Austin the Army Reserves in 2016 after he graduated High School. His grandpa was also in the military.

  Donnie has been in the Air Force Reserves for 30 years and Kym spent 33 1/2 years in the Air Force Reserves she is now retired. In the meantime they manage their auto shop.

  Toni's mom wrote: I am thankful for my hero, my daughter Toni. She is a Major is the Air Force. She has always been a hometown hero to those around her.

  John is currently a police officer for Tampa Police Dept. John served in the Army with a history of deployments to Afghanistan. He protected and guarded the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. He is also on the Honor Guard for TPD.

  Jaden is 17 and graduated from USMC MCRD PI 12/1/23. He graduated high school a year early and would have had no problem getting into a university, but he decided he wanted to be a U.S. Marine.

  John joined the army when he was 18, right out of high school. He spent 29 years and 9 months in the Army with numerous deployments. After retiring, he has continued to serve as a civilian.

  Lino was in the military for over 26 years as a Command Sergeant Major for the 94th ARCOM. He has gone all around the world and has helped so many other countries while doing so.

  Chris is a retired Master Sergeant for the National Guard and a former Lieutenant working at the Sherriff's Office. Throughout his career, he dedicated himself to serving his country and community.

  Daniel served in the United States Army as a Ranger. His served overseas fighting for us, unfortunately his last tour left him in a wheelchair. He is an advocate for people with disabilities.
