Florida: This Is Our Most Popular Jewelry Item
Shane Co. recently detailed the most popular jewelry item in every state. This can range to everything from necklaces to rings to smartwatches. Florida’s most popular jewelry item is also the choice in 22 other states.
“Each U.S. state has its own unique style, and jewelry is no exception,” Shane Co. states. In order to compile the report, they first had to answer the question, what are the most common jewelry pieces found across the United States? Fourteen items were selected and categorized. For example, specific jewelry categories were broken out by type. Think hoop earrings vs. stud earrings. Then, Shane and Co. analyzed twelve months of Google trends and search data to identify what the most popular item is in every single state.
It’s A Watch In Florida
Watches remain a constant jewelry piece Americans enjoy. Twenty-three states in total have the standard watch as their favorite thing to wear. That was by far the most. If you add in the six states that chose smart watches, which were their own sperate jewelry category, 58% of the nation loves a classic wrist piece.
With the warmer weather here in Florida, we often see different styles of watches being sported with short-sleeved shirts. Leather bands, rubber bands, or metal custom fits are all fair game.
Jewelry can also be a form of self-expression as well. Some folks certainly wear more than one, if not all, of the fourteen most common pieces. Engagement and wedding rings were not specified in this report, as one would assume that would have taken home the prize. Surprisingly, stacked rings (the only of the ring group) were only the most popular in Missouri.
Regardless of the occasion, perhaps you are overwhelmed looking for last-minute gift ideas. You can’t go wrong with a nice watch given they are the most popular jewelry accessory in Florida this year.
