Leslie Jordan, the actor best known for his roles in Will & Grace, the American Horror Story franchise and Call Me Kat, has died. He was 67.

Jordan’s death was confirmed to Page Six. The actor was in a car accident Monday morning (October 24) in Hollywood. Page Six reports it’s “suspected he suffered some sort of medical emergency and crashed his BMW into the side of a building.” No additional details are available at this time.

Jordan’s acting career spans five decades dating back to the mid-’80s with one-off appearances in a number of popular television series including The Fall GuyNight CourtMurphy Brown and Newhart. He would go on to have recurring roles in Top of the HeapReasonable Doubts, Bodies of Evidence, Boston PublicBoston Legal and Con Man. His most popular recurring role, however, was as Beverley Leslie, the rich rival to Karen Walker on Will & Grace. The role earned Jordan an Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series.

Jordan’s acting career wasn’t all just recurring roles. The first major role for Jordan was as Lonnie Garrin Hearts Afire, a sitcom that ran from 1993-95 and starred John Ritter, Markie Post and Billy Bob Thornton. Jordan was also featured as a variety of characters throughout the American Horror Story franchise. Jordan was also a main character on the Fox sitcom Call Me Kat, which stars Mayim Bialik and Swoosie Kurtz.

Jordan notable became a viral star on social media during the pandemic and grew his Instagram following from 50,000 to 5.8 million, according to Page Six. Thanks to his viral popularity, Jordan recorded Company’s Comin’, a country/gospel album featuring some all-star guests including Dolly Parton, Tanya Tucker, Eddie Vedder, Brandi Carlile and more.
