Fans of Dolly Parton were shocked to learn her younger brother died last week.
In the days that followed, Dolly issued a statement thanking her fans for all their love and support.
At this time, it’s still not clear what caused Floyd Parton’s death, however, Radar Online is reporting that the songwriter was hospitalized after Thanksgiving due to a serious illness.
He was listed in critical condition.
On December 6, his sister, Stella, shared a post on Twitter with a bible verse that implied Jesus had cured him. While she did not mention any illness, she shared a photo of her brother and said she was spending the day with him.
Floyd was 61 at the time he died.
