There are so many new Florida laws that went into effect. One of the most controversial ones is permit-less carry. Florida residents are now allowed to carry without a concealed weapons permit. We just hope everyone understands that weapons should only be used if you feel your life is in danger. Not for road rage, an argument etc. Another recently passed law affects drivers from other states. Did you know you can’t drive in Florida with certain state licenses?
One of the new laws that we’re just finding out about is the one where It’s illegal to drive if you have a certain driver’s license. This is the law where drivers from certain states may have trouble driving through Florida. On July 1st the law went into effect and now certain people may have trouble driving here.
This is all a part of Florida’s new immigration bill signed by Gov. Ron DeSantis. Out-of-state driver’s licenses issued exclusively to ‘unauthorized immigrants’ are no longer valid. This bill also forces some of the toughest penalties and restrictions in the country.
Florida law enforcement will use routine traffic stops to verify valid or invalid licenses. Out-of-state drivers with the outlined restrictions may receive a citation. These citations will be a criminal offense in Florida and will possibly carry jail time. Jail time or a fine. More states are being reviewed and could be added to the list in the forthcoming months.
