Tampa Bay’s Hometown Morning Krewe

There are scary movies and then there are movies that you think are going to be scary and they aren’t. Mental Floss put together a list of the least scary movies according how many jump scares are in the movies. Yes, the least amount of times that you jump at a scene in a movie.

Now, some of these movies may still be scary to you, but it may be in a different way they came up with this list. Maybe test out their theory by watching these movies and see how many times you get scared.

Check out the list below.

  • Silence of the Lambs

Really, this movie is #1 for being least scary. Hannibal Lector…interesting. While the movie is creepy for sure they say there are Zero jump scares in the movie.

  • Sleepy Hollow

This is the movie starring Johnny Depp who plays Ichabod Crane. They say there is one jump scare in the movie and it might involved the headless horseman.
