Sunset Beach Treasure Island SUP surfing. You’ve heard by now about the changing temperatures and weather geeks telling us we may have the coldest Christmas in the last 27 years. Temps should be in the 30’s at night by this weekend. There is another cool thing about the changing temperatures as these weather fronts move through. They often bring a little surf. The winds are not what we expected. Almost calm at less than 10 knots. We were expecting 20. So that makes for a few nice small rolling waves and a good day to practice. See if you can find the guy surfing with a SUP Foil in one of these videos. (he’s on the far left). I’m filing in for JR & Tampa Bay’s Morning Krew this week, so hope to get out every day as the temps go down. Maybe we’ll even get in a Santa Surf on Christmas day at Sunset Beach? Merry Christmas!
