Orionid Meteor Shower Peaks Tonight And Tomorrow. Happens every fall, September through November. But, tonight and tomorrow night should me Meteor-Tastic! Almost a 1/4 moon so that should help as it’s not too bright. If you have one of those “stars and sky” apps like I do, just look toward the Orion constellation. I use the Star Tracker app. Works great. So how do we see the show her in Tampa Bay?  Check out some tips below. Source: News Channel 8

  • How Many Will We See?

This Orionid shower usually shows us about 15 meteors an hour at the peak. They’re scooting along at 148,000 miles per hour as they enter Earth’s atmosphere.

  • What Time Is The Show?

Best chance is right after midnight. I set a blanket on the roof, and keep the ladder up. Best to get away from any other city lights if you can.

  • Look Which Way Again?

Look to the  Southeast for best viewing. Again that Star  Tracker app or others like it can help big time. Find the Orion constellation and stay put!
