Google’s most popular Halloween costumes this year have been revealed. The #1 costume nationally sits at the top spot for the second year in a row. So, the list comes from Google Trends and the these are the top searched costumes in the U.S. Google calls it their FrightGeist.

The #1 costume nationally is a witch. Stranger Things shows up in the Top 10 as well. Last year, some of the most popular choices were “Squid Game,” “Among Us” and Cruella De Vil.

Google also tells us what the most popular costumes in Florida are. Pirate is #1 followed by rabbit, witch, cowboy and fairy.

  • Witch

    #1 for the second year in a row.

  • Spider-Man

    Spider-Man has been a popular Halloween costume for a long time and still is as it sits at #2 on the list.

  • Dinosaur

    Have you ever seen those races where people are dressed up in T-Rex costumes? You may a few of those this year.

  • Stranger Things

    The Netflix show set all sorts of records for streaming hours this past year. You might even see Vecna, which is the bad guy in Season 4.

  • Fairy

    A staple and usually in the Top 10.

  • Pirate

    This is the #1 costume in Florida, as it should be.

  • Rabbit

    This one is interesting and it is on the national list as well as the Florida list. I guess people still are celebrating Easter, huh?

  • Cheerleader

    A go to costume for a lot of people.

  • Cowboy

    Not the Dallas Cowboys football team, but an actual cowboy costume.

  • Harley Quinn

    This is a character from the Batman comics books. The character was played by Margot Robbie in a few theatrical movies.
