Home goods retailer Tuesday Morning is closing several stores across the United States, including eight in the Tampa Bay area. The company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in February and aims to focus on its "core" and "heritage" markets.

According to the company's website, 24 stores in Florida will be closing, but it doesn't mention when the 8 Tampa area stores will shut down. So, heads up for some gigantic "closing sales" going on now.

Tuesday Morning currently has 487 stores across 40 states. The closure of unprofitable and underperforming stores is part of the company's plan to emerge from bankruptcy with a profitable and cash-generating store fleet. Eventually, if you have to have some Tuesday Morning, you'l need to go to the last remaining store at Lithia Square Shopping Center in Brandon. TBT
