Tampa Bay’s Hometown Morning Krewe

As the new year approaches, many people will be looking for a new job in the Tampa Bay area. Going on a job interview is not always the easiest and very nerve wracking, but we want to help you be prepared for a new job in 2023! Whether it is over Zoom or in a conference room, you must do your research and be prepared for anything. As someone on the receiving end of the questions during a job interview, you also have to be prepared to ask some questions as well. At the end of each interview, the hiring manager usually asks “Do you have any questions for me?” It might be tempting to say NO and end the interview but it has now become common to ask the interviewers some questions. If you don’t, it can come off as if you did not prepare or you are no longer interested in the position. According to StudyFinds.org here are the questions you should ask during an interview:

  • Ask About Day-To-Day Responsibilities

Before you decide if this job is a good fit for you, it is a smart idea to ask the hiring manager what your day-to-day responsibilities are. If you land the job, you will be glad you knew your job assignments without too many surprises.

  • Ask How Success Is Measured

This is often overlooked when going through the interview and hiring process. Questions asking about what the company views as success in your new potential role can dictate if you job is a good fit for you. The company wants anyone in this role to succeed, but is it at the expense of your stress levels? Are the goals to reach that success attainable in your eyes?

  • Ask About The Company As A Whole

If you did your research, you should know some basic information about the company you are looking to work with. This is great, but you are about to be in front of people who work for the company. They know what its like to work for this company each and everyday. Ask them how long they’ve worked there what its like to work for that company.

  • Ask About The Team

Not only will getting the job be an adjustment for you, but it will also be a change in the company as well. It’s wonderful to ask what the team is like and how your personality and energy can be a great asset to the team.

  • Ask About Next Steps

As a final question to ask the interviewer, you should reiterate your interest and excitement for the role. If they haven’t previously mention it you should ask: “What are the next steps in the interview process?” Ask them about their timeline, so you show interest and you know how long it might be.
