Sean O’Malley defeated Aljamain Sterling during their Bantamweight title fight at UFC 292 at TD Garden last night (August 19, 2023) in Boston, Massachusetts. A second round TKO at TD Garden brought in the "Suga" era. Dana White said this was the biggest bantamweight main event ever, drawing $7.25 million in ticket sales.
O'Malley moves to 9-1. His sole loss came at UC 252 in 2020 against Marlon Vera. O'Malley was injured during the fight and has asked for a rematch.
