Steamy Lit and Largo Public Library will host the first Romantically Ever After: Library Lit Fest on Saturday, May 2, at 120 Central Park Drive. The free event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. You must be 18 or older to attend.

According to I Love the Burg.com, dozens of authors will sign books and showcase their latest novels. They'll talk about romance fiction too. Steamy Lit will serve as the on-site bookstore.

The Tampa-based romance bookstore has become one of Florida's biggest names in romance fiction, which helped attract many novelists to Pinellas County for this first-time event.

Attendees can get books signed. They can discover new titles, or they can meet other readers who share their interests. The festival offers a chance for those unfamiliar with the genre to see what has made romance fiction grow in recent years.

Registration isn't required, but signing up enters visitors into a raffle for prizes. People can bring their own books for authors to sign, though each writer will have copies available for purchase. There's no cost except for any books people choose to buy.

The library announced the event on Tuesday, and information plus updates are available on the Facebook event page.
