Central Park will swing open its doors tomorrow, Feb. 19. This 27,700-square-foot food hall sits at 551 Central Ave. in downtown St. Petersburg, and two vendors will kick things off with takeout and delivery. The five-story building will roll out 14 food and drink vendors across the next several months after six years of planning and construction, according to St. Pete Rising.
Palm Avenue Deli and Constellation Burger launch Thursday, Febr. 19. Service runs from 5 to 10 p.m. The New York-style deli dishes up pastrami sandwiches, Reubens, latkes, matzo ball soup, stuffed cabbage, and bagels.
Constellation Burger serves burgers and sandwiches. Try the Local Rock Shrimp Katsu Burger topped with American cheese, shredded lettuce, onion-pickle relish, and dill cream sauce. Both spots will offer pared-down menus during the soft opening.
Phase two arrives Monday, Feb. 23. Strawberry Fields opens that day with the venue's self-serve beer wall. This health-focused café joins the first two vendors, keeping those same 5 to 10 p.m. hours. Breakfast won't be on the menu yet during this early period.
The first-floor food hall will eventually house Don Ricardo's Taqueria, Park Pie, Speaks Pasta, and Kojo Wok. Park Pie will dish out Roman and New York-style pies, and Kojo Wok will bring Asian street food to the mix.
A mezzanine sits between floors. Meadows dessert café will land there, plus frozen cocktail bar 27 North and retail shop Worth. The fourth floor holds Kojo and Bar Hana by Kojo.
The Winfield cocktail parlor claims the basement. The building towers five stories in the heart of downtown St. Pete on Central Avenue.
Palm Avenue Deli and Strawberry Fields will start small before introducing their full menus. All vendors will stretch their hours and add more service options as the phased rollout moves through the coming months.
