Kubana Kafe Opens in South Tampa With Cuban Coffee and Community Focus

Kubana Kafe opened at 5130 South Dale Mabry in South Tampa. This family-owned coffee shop serves Cuban coffee, food, and drinks.

A Cuban family runs the business. They built it around three pillars: coffee, community, and connection.

"We're a Cuban family-owned coffee shop with a big love for espresso and even bigger love for community," said Kubana Kafe, according to That's So Tampa. "For us, coffee has always been at the heart of every family gathering — it's where stories are shared, laughs are louder, and memories are made. At Kubana Kafe, we're bringing that same warmth and bold flavor to the Tampa area, one strong, smooth cup at a time."

Signature drinks include a Tres Leches Latte and a Brown Sugar Guava Latte. Guests who skip coffee can grab sweet pastries or ham croquette paninis on buttered Cuban bread.

Inside, workers can set up laptops while others sip drinks. The owners crafted this space as an escape from chain shops.
