A striking six-story structure marked a turning point on October 27 in Tampa's Ybor City district. The building spans 145,000 square feet, with Grow Financial set to fill half the space.

At street level, visitors will find 9,000 square feet of dining spots and stores, topped by a sky-high bar. Moss construction teams wrapped up the main structure, pushing forward the massive 50-acre site's transformation.

"Our workers have been steadfast in their dedication to reach this stage," said Toby Manulak, senior vice president of Moss' Mid-Florida Region, per TBBW Magazine.

Standing tall in the Barrio Latino Historic District, the building shows off designs by S9Architecture with Smallwood's touch. Its features pay tribute to the neighborhood's cigar-making past. The site sprang from Darryl Shaw's vision seven years back.

"With this office building and neighboring housing portions of the project coming to life, the grand vision for Gasworx is coming into focus," said Graham Tyrrell, managing director for Florida at Kettler, to TBBW Magazine.

Three new apartment buildings tell stories through their names. The Luisa honors a bold female reader who sparked talks among cigar workers. The Olivette takes its name from a ship that linked Tampa to Havana. The Stevedore tips its hat to the port's hard-working past.

Work buzzes across the site as crews push ahead on schedule. The Stevedore opens its doors in early 2026. The Luisa welcomes residents in spring 2027, while The Olivette follows that summer. The main tower wraps up in late 2026.
