There are a bunch of Memorial Day deals for veterans in Tampa. Memorial Day is this coming Monday and it’s a holiday to remember and pay respect to fallen soldiers. Most business will close or reduce hours to give their employees time off to have a long 4 day weekend. This is a time when many retailers take it a step further and offer discounts and deals for active duty military and veterans.

Memorial Day is the day we honor those who lost their lives while defending our country. It is observed on the last Monday of May. 

Here are some of the deals our soldiers can take advantage of here in the Tampa bay area. These are great ways to save money this weekend, especially if you are looking at home projects.

Bass Pro Shops is offering a Legendary Salute military discount. Until May 31. Veterans get an extra 5% off during the Go Outdoors sale, even on already reduced items. There are savings on fishing, hunting and boating equipment.

Coleman is offering Veterans savings up to 30% on Coleman's outdoor gear during the Memorial Day Sale. This discount applies to a variety of items including tents, coolers, grills and lighting. The eligibility and timeframe for this offer are not specified.

Mattress Firm is hosting their big Memorial Day Sale with up to 50% off on a wide range of mattresses, adjustable bases and bedding for veterans.

Columbia Sportswear is offering a 40% discount on their entire range for the Memorial Day Sale, which runs now through Monday, May 27. In addition to this special offer, military personnel and first responders benefit from a year-round extra 20% discount.

The two big home improvement stores are also giving big discounts this weekend. Home Depot honors our heroes with unbeatable deals for homeowners. From May 16 to May 27, discover discounts on everything from appliances to outdoor furniture. Lowe's is honoring veterans and active military members with a 10% discount. This offer extends to military spouses as well. So that's great.

Now that Thanksgiving is behind us, it's officially time to shop, in stores or online. The Christmas holiday is less than one month away, and we've got to get the right gifts to the right folks in our lives.

Country music items are always a go-to for the country music lovers on your Christmas list. It's always nice to have the CMA Awards happen in November, just before the shopping season starts. It gets us all excited for our country music favorites each year.

After this year's CMAs, fans are undoubtedly looking for country music related gift items from big winners like Lainey Wilson, Jelly Roll, etc.

We're not sure how many people will be getting boats for Christmas this year as it's a really pricey gift. However, this song made Janson a country music star, and many country fans bought that boat... or at least hoped to. It makes you want to go to the store immediately to buy some yoga pants and sweats. We can all relate to one line in the song: "Ask me where I got 'em, Amazon at my door / And if I wear this pair out, I'm gonna buy me some more."

In this classic Dolly song, she sings of "The Bargain Store." Dolly told Vulture in a recent interview that "nobody played it on the radio [when it was released] because they were acting like I was implying something else." The lyrics include, "I may have just what you're looking for / If you don't mind the fact that all the merchandise is used / But with a little mending, it could be as good as new / The bargain store is open, come inside." Parton says that in the song, she was saying, "Come inside my heart." She noted that she is talking about a broken heart and how we can put the pieces back together if we're willing to try.
