Megan Moroney’s Boyfriend Will Be On Kenny Chesney Tour
Megan Moroney's Boyfriend Will Be On Kenny Chesney Tour
Megan Moroney’s boyfriend will be on Kenny Chesney tour with her this year. We spoke to Megan about her upcoming tour with Kenny Chesney and what to expect. Megan will head out on The Sun Goes Down Tour that kicks off in Tampa at Raymond James Stadium on April 20th. She is obviously thrilled to be apart of such an iconic tour along with Zac Brown Band and Uncle Kracker.
She told us that just a few years ago, she was the drunk girl in the 3rd level at a Kenny show, and now 6 years later she is on stage with him. Megan didn’t really understand the benefits of touring with Kenny, so we had to fill her in. She wasn’t aware of what actually happens behind the scenes and all the cool stuff that Kenny does for his crew and tour mates while out on the road. We told her about the tour wrap parties, the merch tent lottery at each show and the end of tour vacation.
J.R. brought up the new man in her life. Moroney has been dating a new guy for awhile now. She is very tight-lipped about him and doesn’t share pictures or video of him on purpose. She told us he is a just a normal guy and she wants to keep it that way. Megan Moroney’s boyfriend will be on Kenny Chesney tour and he will be here in Tampa.
New Album Lucky
Megan is releasing her debut album called “Lucky” on May 5th. She is proud of her album and said it is full of funny songs, songs with attitude and emotional songs. We cannot wait to hear it as we already love Tennessee Orange and I’m Not Pretty. She also released a song called No Caller ID which is doing really well on the streaming charts.
“I’m Not Pretty”, her latest single is written about her ex boyfriend’s new girlfriend who accidently liked a picture on her Instagram. We asked if the woman has ever reached out to her after this song was released and she said no.
About Megan Moroney
Moroney attended the University of Georgia studying to be an accountant. While at school she became known as the country music singer of the sorority she was a part of. Megan was performing at her sorority house for a Charity event and Chase Rice happened to be there. Rice invited her to come open up for him at the Georgia Theater if she writes her own song. So she did.
After that sold-out show, she decided to change her major. By the end of her freshman year, she asked her parents if she could move to Nashville.
She stuck it out and got her degree before officially making the move to Nashville in 2020. Her debut single “Wonder” was released the following year. Fast forward, she released Pistol Made Of Roses and the first single Tennessee Orange flew up the charts.
Last time we spoke to Megan in 2023, she told us about some great advice: Say yes to everything you can. Try everything when you’re first starting out in the business and never give up an opportunity.
5 Of Kenny Chesney's Best Music Videos
Kenny Chesney’s best music videos have won awards and entertained country fans for over twenty years. Kenny just released his new album, Born, as he celebrates his 56th birthday today (3/26). He told us of the new project, “My new album, Born, has been about…almost three years in the making.”
Mundane Existence
He continued, “Without even knowing it, there is a thread of breaking out of the mundane existence in our lives, you know, all these the same neural pathways we travel. Whether it’s the same road to work or the same way we do certain things – you know that can create this mundane existence, and when I first cut the song ‘Born,’ the title track, I thought about that.”
Connection
He shared how he connected with people on the album, “There’s a song on the record called ‘Just To Say We Did’ that is truly about just that. It’s more about connection, actually, and that’s also a big theme of this record. I just felt like those two songs kind of started down that path. By the time I was done with it, I had four or five songs that felt in that space, you know, of just human connection, living your life to the fullest and breaking out of your mundane existence.”
Didn’t See Album Coming
Chesney also told us that he didn't see the new album coming. He spent the time since the world shut down playing music with friends, writing, listening to songs he loved, and recording when the moment struck with longtime collaborator Buddy Cannon.
He noted, “I can’t call it a ‘process’ because we never set out to make a record, just explore songs and moments for the sake of music. All of a sudden, time had passed, and somehow, we had all these songs that looked like different pieces of who I – and just about everyone in No Shoes Nation, too – am.”
No Master Plan
Chesney continued, “It wasn’t a master plan. There was no theme we were singing about that held it together. But if you listen to all 15 songs, you’ll get the high-energy fun, chasing adventures, don’t let people get you down, and you’ll get the more reflective thinking about someone who’s died, the person you know you shouldn’t call emotions that have always been in the music, too.”
Best Music Videos
Throughout his twenty-plus career in country music, Chesney has always tried to make his music videos epic, like mini moves. As we celebrate Kenny’s 56th birthday today (3/26), we take a look at five of his best music videos.
