The New Specialty License Plates Coming To Florida
There are some new specialty license plates coming to Florida after the Senate passed a bill. That bill now heads to the governors desk for his signature. If he signs it the specialty license plates will go into effect on October 1 there are some really interesting ones including one for Margaritaville, which is honoring the life of Jimmy Buffett. That plate will benefit the SFC Charitable Foundation Inc. That organization provides grants to nonprofits to help with recovery efforts in areas impacted by disasters.
Other Specialty License Plates Coming To Florida
There are also some other specialty license plates that will be coming if the governor signs the bill. The first one to highlight is one for Universal Orlando Resort. Now, Walt Disney World already has their own license plate, but Universal wanted their own as well. Universal’s plate will benefit Give Kids The World nonprofit, which seeks to provide “week-long, cost-free vacations to children with critical illnesses and their families.”
Right here is the Tampa Bay area we have an organization that looks like they will have their own specialty license plate. Clearwater Marine Aquarium will get on as well and the extra money goes to help rescue marine life, perform research and provide environmental education.
The other one to highlight is for Recycle Florida. If you choose to get this license plate then you money will go to Recycle Florida Today Foundation. That foundation is to increase public awareness about the importance of recycling.
There are more of them that will be available if the governor signs the bill. You can see the list here. I love the specialty plates. Personally, I have a Tampa Bay Buccaneers one, but not the one with the Super Bowl LV logo on it. I like mine with just the Bucs logo on it. I also am glad that my money is going to a charity and I get to support my favorite football team.
Autotrader's List Of Top Used Cars Is Out
Autotrader has released their list of their top used cars. Obviously the price of used vehicles has been higher than in the past. Also, sometimes you can’t even find them. The way they came up with the list is they looked at the cars with the most searches on autotrader.com in June and July of this past year.
The number one overall used vehicle is also the number one hottest new car of this year. The 2023 Ford F-150 is the hottest new car of 2023. The Ford F-150 of any year is the hottest used vehicle of 2023.
The Hottest New Cars
If you look at the hottest new vehicles, eight of the Top 10 are trucks. The other two is a Jeep Wrangler and a Ford Bronco. “We determine the Hottest Cars of Summer 2023 by sifting through Autotrader’s search data to calculate which new and used cars get the most traffic,” said Brian Moody, executive editor for Autotrader. “The list reveals what shoppers are considering and points out the hot cars that are in high demand. This is helpful information for car shoppers to know before securing a deal. This year we also added a bonus list of the Hottest Used Cars of Summer 2023, in addition to the list of Hottest New Cars. Because of the wacky way the automotive business has been running in recent years, used cars can be almost as challenging to find and buy as new cars.”
If you are wondering what the best selling vehicle in Florida is, well it is the Toyota Corolla. The Ford F-150 and the Chevy Silverado are also on the list of best sold vehicles in Florida. Autotrader’s list of the top used cars is a great list if you’re looking for a one. Check out the list of the top 10 below.
