We've got a major country artist playing charity event in Tampa.   The Arians Family Foundation just announced they are bringing in Jason Aldean to perform at the Hard Rock in March.  The Arians Family Foundation is founded by former Super Bowl-winning Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians and his wife Christine.  They are hosting their 10th Anniversary Celebration next month with a live concert from county music star Jason Aldean at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Tampa.

The celebration is happening Saturday, Mar. 23.  You can purchase tickets starting today,  (Friday, Feb. 9).  Proceeds from the event will benefit the Arians Family Foundation, CASA, and GAL of Florida

The event is presented by Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Arians Family Foundation

The Arians Family Foundation motto is “A Voice For Children”.  The foundation develops programs which help to prevent the abuse and neglect of children.  The Arians Family Foundation supports CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) to make sure that children involved in the court system, as a result of abuse or neglect by their families, receive love and help they need.    Both Bruce and Christine believe that there is nothing more important than improving the lives of children as they are our future.  You can donate and support on their website.

Ticket Information

Anyone can purchase tickets to this event.  Event is Saturday March 23rd at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.  It is open to the public.  Tickets can be purchased on Ticketmaster beginning at 10 a.m. on Friday. VIP sponsor packages are also available at the Arians Family Foundation website.

5 Country Stars Who Were Also College Football Stars

We’re knee deep in college football season, and it’s always fun to look at some of the stars you know and love today, and their connection to the sport.

There are a number of notable country music superstars who locked on their shoulder pads and squared up on the gridiron.

Athletes like Garth Brooks were notable in college, but not necessarily for football. Garth threw the javelin at Oklahoma State.

Kip Moore played both basketball and golf in college. And Carrie Underwood played softball and basketball back in high school.

But since we’ve been watching college football so much lately, we thought it would be fun to look at five stars who played that sport.

Sam Hunt

Sam was once the quarterback for the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Lee Brice

Lee is a proud Clemson Tiger where he was a 6 foot 3, 270 pound lineman. Lee wanted to take his football career further but suffered a terrible injury to his right arm.

Trace Adkins

Like Lee Brice, Trace was also an offensive lineman for the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs. Standing 6 feet 6 inches tall, he wore jersey number 50 but had to say goodbye to the team
when he blew out his knee.

Chase Rice

Chase grew up wanting to play football for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He achieved that goal playing as a linebacker. Sadly, due to a severe ankle
injury, his football career ended.

Riley Green

Not many can say their college football team defeated the Florida State Seminoles. Country singer Riley Green can. Riley was the quarterback for the Jacksonville State University Gamecocks when the team pulled off the huge upset. While at Jacksonville State, he played music at local bars and fell in love with the craft and the rest is history.
