Miranda Lambert: Who Her ‘Truth Teller’ Is
Miranda Lambert appeared on The Tamron Hall Show today (1/16) on ABC and talked about who tells her the truth in life, and who her “hype girl” is.
Miranda said of her husband, Brendan, “My husband tells me the truth. Everybody needs somebody in their life who’s a truth-teller, and he’s very New York about it.”
She said her mother Beverly, her partner in her MuttNation charity for animals, is her “hype girl.”
Lambert also told Hall of her new endeavors, “I feel excited. I’m more open now to whatever’s supposed to come my way. A little more aware and a little less tunnel vision because, luckily, I’ve worked hard enough to get to where I’ve reached a lot of my goals, so now I can be a little more free.”
The country superstar also took Hall on an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of her “Miranda Lambert: Velvet Rodeo The Las Vegas Residency” at Bakkt Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino ahead of her final run of shows this March and April.

Meanwhile, Miranda and Tractor Supply Company have announced the 2nd annual Relief For Rescues fundraising event. Today (1/16) through January 21st, Tractor Supply customers can donate at checkout at any Tractor Supply store, online at TractorSupply.com, or via the Tractor Supply mobile app. The fund provides critical support to shelter pets during times of natural disaster.
Lambert said, “Helping shelters and shelter pets recover from a natural disaster is part of our MuttNation mission. “Partnering with Tractor Supply stores across the country for our annual Relief For Rescues fundraiser, along with the support from the tens of thousands of animal-loving people who donate to our cause this week, allows us to provide critical assistance immediately – where it’s needed when it’s needed.”
Speaking of need, we reached out to Miranda’s people to ensure she was aware of a Nashville animal shelter’s heating problems after the two-day snowstorm (with temperatures in the single digits) in Nashville. Her publicist said Miranda is aware of the problem and is “working to see what we can do to help via MuttNation.”
Metro Animal Care and Control in Nashville said the heating system is down in one of their adoption rooms, which is currently filled with around 20 dogs. They told WKRN, “We don’t have anywhere to relocate them, sadly, so we are hoping people from the community will pick up some dogs to get them in a warm home.” Metro Animal Control is a place Lambert has been too many times to visit, and sometimes takes home an animal or two to add to growing family.
