The debate on which style of pizza is never ending. There’s thin crust, thick crust, deep dish and more. Do you take it and fold it or cut it in squares? We aren’t here to settle this debate, but a new pizza shop opened in Armature Works and they’re taking sides.

The Fold Pizza Shop opened its doors for the first time in early December. Located in the vendor hub with other classics like Butcher and BBQ and Buddy Brew coffee, The Fold Pizza offers a unique menu.

The menu features cult classics alongside new favorites crafted by The Fold. There’s the “Classic” with tomato sauce and mozzarella. Or you can stay true to your roots with the classics like Pepperoni or Sausage. Want to add a little flare to your classic? Try the pan baked Sicilian or the pan baked Grandma with grandma’s sauce, basil, oregano and mozzarella.

If you’re in the mood for something different, try the Firebird with buffalo chicken, jalapenos and hot honey or the Tricolor with mozzarella, tomato sauce, ricotta and basil pesto. Finish off the meal with some Garlic Knots after hitting that spicy and sweet craving. You can smell the tasty garlic knots form the moment you walk into the venue.

Where can I find The Fold Pizza?

The Fold Pizza Shop is located at 1910 N Ola Avenue inside of Armature Works. If you’ve lived in Tampa, chances are you've been to this crafty food hall. They’ve had Dal Maro’s Pasta To Go, the Tik-Tok famous Empamamas and Muchacas recently added to their packed lineup in the food hall.

Armature Works also recently added back the fan favorite Heights Night Market. The Night Market runs from 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM with different artisanal artists and various makers that craft handmade jewelry, art, woodwork, gifts and more. This is a family friend event with live music and free admission.

If you are looking to follow along with The Fold Pizza Shop, visit their Instagram for latest updates. You can also find their menu and information on their website.

7 Best Barbecue Spots in Tampa Bay

Florida has been making a name for itself in the BBQ world over the past few years. We asked you on social media where to find the best barbecue in Tampa Bay and you didn’t disappoint. We put together a list of the 7 Best Barbecue Spots in Tampa Bay.

Earlier this year, Southern Living Magazine named Tropical Smokehouse in West Palm Beach the 8th best BBQ spot in the country. Then, Taste of Home named Shiver’s Bar-B-Q in Homestead, FL, as the best barbecue in Florida. Both of those options are different types of BBQ, so that comes down to personal preference.

Do different states have different styles of BBQ?

The short answer is yes, and they’re all much different from the next. BBQ isn’t a one size fits all type of cooking and in fact, the wood used to cook the various meats really decides the kind of flavor you’re getting. The big four in BBQ are Kansas City, Texas, Memphis, and Carolina Style BBQ.

In Texas, you have the sweet and hot flavor blasted brisket. In Carolina, pulled pork is the go-to. In Memphis, they love their smoked meat and hardwood charcoal. Finally, Kansas City has grown to perfect all kinds of BBQ.

In Florida, you’ll see a variety of types of BBQ. We’re known for doing things differently down here and that’s why some of the barbecue you see here, you won’t see anywhere else. There’s tons of different kinds of barbecue in the state of Florida from food trucks, trailers, and full fledged restaurants. Tropical Smokehouse in West Palm Beach offers gator meat ... if that scream FLORIDA, we're not sure what does.
