2 Tampa Bay Cities Named As Best Places To Live In The U.S.
A list of the best places to live in the United States has come out. There are two Tampa Bay cities that have made the list. The list comes from Money who named the 50 best places to live in the United States for the year 2022 to 2023. The way they came up with the list is they look to the things that matter most of people. Economic opportunities, quality of life diversity, and where the best futures lie. Tampa comes in #9 overall on the best places to live in the United States according to the list. Additionally, Sarasota comes in #43 on the list.
Here is what Money says about Tampa, “Tampa is a rare combination of action-packed and affordable: The median home sale price is about $381,000, one of the lowest on our list, and you’ll get plenty of bang for your buck. There’s nightlife galore in the Ybor City district. Tampa’s 20- and 30-somethings also flock to spots like Angry Chair Brewing, which serves its famous stouts alongside kitchen faves like pickle dip, and Taco Bus, which was dishing burritos out of its yellow school bus way before food trucks were cool.” The report does say that the downsides of Tampa include the traffic and the climate.
Finally, another Florida city made the Top 50. Altamonte Springs came in at #33.
Did you know that Tampa is also a major center for business and finance? The city is home to many Fortune 500 companies, including Raymond James Financial and WellCare Health Plans. There are many things to to while you are in Tampa. The Tampa Riverwalk is a popular spot for walking, biking, and rollerblading. The Tampa Bay History Center is a great place to learn about the city’s past. Finally, the Florida Aquarium is a fun place to see animals from all over the world.

Do different states have different styles of BBQ?
The short answer is yes, and they’re all much different from the next. BBQ isn’t a one size fits all type of cooking and in fact, the wood used to cook the various meats really decides the kind of flavor you’re getting. The big four in BBQ are Kansas City, Texas, Memphis, and Carolina Style BBQ.
In Texas, you have the sweet and hot flavor blasted brisket. In Carolina, pulled pork is the go-to. In Memphis, they love their smoked meat and hardwood charcoal. Finally, Kansas City has grown to perfect all kinds of BBQ.
In Florida, you’ll see a variety of types of BBQ. We’re known for doing things differently down here and that’s why some of the barbecue you see here, you won’t see anywhere else. There’s tons of different kinds of barbecue in the state of Florida from food trucks, trailers, and full fledged restaurants. Tropical Smokehouse in West Palm Beach offers gator meat … if that scream FLORIDA, we’re not sure what does.
