Gas prices are high. You may have noticed they’re even a little bit higher. The real reason why the gas prices are high are very simple. Saudi Arabia has decided to cut back on how much oil it sends to global markets. Because of that it is pushed the gas prices higher. Saudi Arabia is the world's second largest oil supplier. They cut their production by 1 million barrels a day since July. That will continue to go through the end of 2023.

Right now, the price of a barrel of oil is around $90. There are some analysts that think that a barrel of oil could hit $100. But that is only one theory. If that happens, obviously the price of gas at the pump will go up for you.

The Average Price Of Gas In Florida

Additionally, some of the other factors are demand for fuel from consumers. Right now, as of September 26th AAA has listed their gas prices as $3.58 as the average price in Florida in Hillsborough County it is an average of $3.56. In Pinellas County it is an average of $3.53. Surprisingly, the Miami area does not have the highest prices in the state. Liberty County in the panhandle has an average gas price of $3.80. There are also some other counties in the panhandle that have a penny or so less than that.
