Scotty McCreery Talks Guitar Pull And Touring With Family
We are so excited to start announcing the details today for our 8th Annual QYK Guitar Pull. Today, the first artist revealed for QYK Guitar Pull. It will be back at the Mahaffey Theater located in St. Petersburg.
The 99.5 QYK Guitar Pull is unlike traditional one-artist performances. This show features all of the artists on the stage at one time in an acoustic setting, featuring storytelling, song performances, and unique interactions between the artists.
People in the Tampa Bay area love this event and have said it is their favorite show of the year. It’s so different from other shows. One of the reasons is the anticipation, no one knows what is going to happen and there is no set list.
First Artist Revealed For QYK Guitar Pull
Our first artist is Scotty McCreery. We are so excited to have him on stage this year. This comes at a great time, as he just released his new single “Cab In A Solo”. Scotty called into the show this morning to talk about the new song and how he loves playing an acoustic show.
We also asked him how dad life was and if he had any new dad advice for J.R. Host of Tampa Bays Morning Krewe, J.R. announced that he and his fiancée are having a baby in February. It will be the first for J.R. and this was Scotty’s first as well.
Cab In A Solo
Scott’s new single “Cab In A Solo” is the first song McCreery’s released since his latest album, Same Truck, which dropped in 2021. The record spawned three singles: “You Time,” “Damn Strait” and “It Matters to Her.” Scotty wrote this new single with songwriters Frank Rogers and Brent Anderson. This heartbreak song finds McCreery reliving the moment he found out his ex had moved on. Scotty said this is one of his favorite songs that he has written. He took some buddies up to the mountains of North Carolina to do nothing but write some country music and that is where this new song happened.
