VIDEO: While Man Burglarizes Home – Pauses To Play With Owner’s Dog
Even the toughest thief would have a hard time turning down a cute puppy.
A man from California was caught on camera stealing a very expensive electric bike from a shed with its door left open. A home security camera kept an eye on the garage. He could have left without any problems, but as he was rolling the bike out of the garage, the owner’s golden dog came out to meet him. The thief was surprised by how nice the dog was, so he let go of the bike and got down on his knees to pet the dog and stroke its belly. Even in the tape, you can hear him say, “You’re so cool. You’re the coolest dog I’ve ever known. I love you, too. You’re a sweetheart.”
The man could then be heard asking the dog, “Where’s your dad?” He even called out to the dog’s owner, but no one answered the door. The man rode away with the bike after stopping briefly to say goodbye to the dog. The cops are looking for the person who did it, and they have asked the people to help them find him.
It still surprises me that people leave their garages open unattended. I see it non-stop all around the Tampa Bay area daily. It’s great that you have a camera in there. But, what’s the point if you leave it open for long periods and snooze off to dreamland? The next day rolls around and you see your bike is gone, and your big furry friend just wooed the bike thief. Pup bought you time! And the thief even called out to you! Just one big regret the next day. The thief bonded with the pup AND stole your bike. Ugh

Riverview Ranks #3 On List Of Safest Cities In Florida
Riverview ranks #3 on a list of the safest cities in Florida. This report comes from Uphomes.com, which ranked the Top 15 safest cities in Florida. The list was updated in November of 2023. To come up with the list they looked at things like: County violent crime rates, city violent crime rates, County property crime rates, County natural disaster risk index rating (FEMA index), city median income, city poverty rate and city population density.
When you are looking for house you want to find a city that is safe. This report is a great way to see what they think the safest cities in Florida are.
Riverview is #3 on the list and it is home to almost 110,000 people. The population has grown by around 25,000 in the last 10 years. Here is what they say about Riverview, “Compared to Florida residents’ average age of 42, Riverview is a younger city with an average age of 36. Combine Riverview’s low violent and property crime rates with its high average income, and it’s no surprise to see Riverview comes out at number three overall in our rankings.”
The History Of Riverview
Riverview was founded in 1885 on the north shore of the Alafia river. Before it was known as Riverview it was called Peru. Peru was located on the south side of the river. Additionally, the name Peru existed for around 100 years and was one of the oldest settlements in central Florida. In the 1940’s Riverview took over Peru, so then the Peru name ceased to exist. Finally, the Alafia river is translated into river of fire due to the phosphorus on the early river bottom glowing at night.
