Two Of America’s Cleanest Cities Are In Florida – But Tampa Misses the Spot!
It’s not uncommon for major metropolitan areas to acquire a reputation for being filthy or untidy, whether it’s due to the litter on highways, the waste that lines the sidewalks, or the vermin that scamper about. Even while no city is flawless, several well-known tourist spots have made it a point to maintain their grounds clean. What do you think the cleanest Florida cities are?
Insider Monkey researched and ranked the cities around the United States to see which ones are the cleanest. The following is how the researchers arrived at their conclusions:
“To compile our list of America’s cleanest cities, we used data from the Census Bureau’s American Housing Survey (AHS) to calculate the percentage of households with trash or junk half a block from their residents. Based on this data, we picked top 25 American cities with the highest percentages of households reporting no trash.”
Define..”clean”
Jacksonville came in at number two, while Orlando came in at number three. According to the analysts, 95% of homes in both towns state that they do not have any piled trash; nevertheless, they do not explain why Jacksonville beat out Orlando, which is the home of Disney World and Universal Studios. And sadly, Tampa Bay, or the surrounding areas, made the list.
