There is a big concert at Raymond James Stadium this weekend.  George Strait, Chris Stapleton and Little Big Town will all be performing.  This is the third biggest country show this year to play Raymond James.  Taylor Swift played 3 sold out shows in April, then Luke Combs played two shows in July.

If you’ve ever been to Raymond James Stadium for a Buccaneers game, Bulls game or concert, you know parking can be an issue.  It’s best to plan ahead before you go.  Here are George Strait parking and traffic tips for Saturday show.

This show starts at 5:45pm

Buy Parking Ahead of Time

Parking at Raymond James Stadium Property is almost sold out yet.  You need to get your parking pass soon.  Purchase HERE

Parking can also be found in the surrounding neighborhoods and business.  Many charge to park in their front lawns.  You will need cash.  Most front yards can be anywhere between $20 – $60 during a Bucs game so expect to pay more then that for concert.

HART bus routes will also serve the stadium.  Routes 7, 15, 32, 36 and 45).  The bus stops are located on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd and Himes Aves.  It’s about a 15 minute walk to stadium.

Bag Policy

Raymond James Stadium has a no bag policy.  You can only bring in one clutch purse no larger then 4.5 inches by 6.5 inches.  If you forget to leave your bag behind, you can store in a locker you will need to rent near gate C.

Traffic/Road Closures

Heavy traffic will be on Dale Mabry, Himes, Columbus Drive and Martin Luther King Jr.   No information has been given at this time about which roads will be closed but you can check FL511 for updated road closures closer to the show.  Most of the time, they close the lanes heading south out of Ray Jay, so you must turn right and navigate your way south.

Other Tips:

  • Pack a water bottle and snacks in your car after the show.
  • Bring a portable charger, especially if you record a lot.
  • Don’t bring signs or wear outfits that have battery powered lights. This is against Raymond James Stadium policy.
  • No signs larger than 11” x 17″
  • Take a picture of where you parked, or ask Siri to drop a pin.
