The Average Salary Tampa Renters Need To Make To Pay The Bills
There is a new report out that tells us the average salary Tampa renters need to make to pay the bills. Although, Tampa is not the #1 city in the state. The report comes from the College of Business at Florida Atlantic University. It is called the Waller, Weeks and Johnson Rental Index. They rank the biggest cities in the U.S. and look at the average rent in each city. They also tell us the salary to live comfortably and the salary to not be severely rent burdened.
The average rent in Tampa is $2,118.75, so that means the average salary Tampa renters need to make is $84,750.12 a year. The salary is to life comfortably, but people need to make $50,850.07 to not be severely rent burdened.
Tampa is not #1 in the state because that honor goes to Miami. The average rent in Miami is $2,804.60. To live comfortably in Miami you need to make $112,183.83.
