The Reason Why Tampa Water May Smell And Taste Different
Tampa water may smell and taste and it’s not the water in the bay. It’s the water that comes out of the tap. Customers of the Tampa Water Department may notice that the smell and taste of the water will be different. That’s because those customers will be receiving water from a different provider starting Thursday.
Tampa Bay Water will now be supplying the water to Tampa Water Department customers. The new supplier provides the water to Hillsborough, Pasco and Pinellas Counties. So, why is the water changing? Well, because of the lack of recent rainfall has caused them to seek other options. Also, the water department can only withdraw so many gallons from the Hillsborough River reservoir per day.
Finally, even though the Tampa water smell and taste will change the water will be safe to drink.
