Tampa Bay’s Hometown Morning Krewe

Weekdays 6:00AM - 10:00AM

New Michael Ray video features a Carly Pearce look-a-like.  Firstly, it seems like Michael Ray is getting his chance to tell his side of the story. Since Michael Ray and Carly Pearce divorced in 2020, we have not heard much from him.  Carly released her album 29:  Written in Stone and has released songs from that album that are directly about her divorce from Michael Ray.  Her latest number one called What He Didn’t Do.

“Get Her Back” is not a song begging for her to return, but more of wanting to seek revenge on her for blabbing about their relationship.

The New Video Stars Carly look-a-like

Michael Ray’s new video “Get Her Back,” seems to have broken his silence.  There is no mention her by name in song, however, the video stars an actress that is a look-a-like for Carly Pearce.

Dallas Wilson, Jordan James, Lalo and Michael Tyler wrote this song for Michael.  In the video, Michael sits in a dark debriefing room with a detective as an ambulance leaves a house and an investigation into a crime scene begins.

First of all, the clip then flashes to Ray with an ex who bears a striking resemblance to Pearce.  Secondly, the video continues to switch between the present and the past, during which the ex snaps selfies at a wine night with her friends and cuddles her dog.  Finally, the video ends with Ray’s ex calling him on the phone, then losing her footing while wearing high heels and hitting her head as she falls near a pool. The final scene. Ray calls her as her phone rings unanswered.

Additionally, Michael Ray posted online and added: “speaks for a lot of us who don’t wanna feed the fire. That’s what’s at the heart of this song.”  Support comments for Michael were left by fans on his page.

“Get Her Back” will be on Michael Ray’s EP, Dive Bars & Broken Hearts, out on June 23.
