World Pushups Record Busted By Tampa Gym Rat
World pushups record busted by Tampa gym rat. This is crazy cool. He did how many? WOW! Rob Stirling is a 60-year-old insurance agent and avid gym-goer from Tampa, Florida. He recently broke the world record for the most push-ups completed in one hour, completing an impressive 3,264 push-ups in the allotted time. NBo. You need to read that again. 3,264 push-ups in tan hour. LOL! This record-breaking attempt was filmed from multiple angles, and he is currently awaiting certification from Guinness World Records.
Stirling has been working out for over 40 years and initially added push-ups to his routine as a replacement for the bench press due to injuries sustained from years of lifting weights. He found that push-ups created a leaner muscle mass, which he preferred.
How does he do that? Stirling broke the hour into five-minute intervals, celebrating each time he completed one. He completed push-ups in sets of 12 with breaks of six or seven seconds in between, averaging 54.4 push-ups per minute. He also dropped his weight from 175 pounds to 165 pounds for the attempt, likening it to removing a 10-pound backpack.
Stirling is now considering going after another record for the most push-ups completed in one minute, currently standing at 144. With his determination and training, there is no doubt that he will continue to break records and inspire others to push their limits. TBT
