Was Rays Pitcher Tyler Glasnow Attacked By Monkeys
Was Rays pitcher Tyler Glasnow attacked by monkeys? Tyler recently made headlines not just for his travels to Istanbul and Thailand, and jumping out of planes, but also for his encounter with wild monkeys on Phi Phi Island. While visiting Monkey Beach, Glasnow and his girlfriend were greeted by 10 monkeys who jumped up and grabbed him when he tried to feed them a fresh coconut. You’re not supposed to feed the moneys. He said it got “a little gnarly.” Luckily, the interaction was peaceful, resulting in a few memorable photos and videos. See below!
But as interesting as the monkey encounter was, some might be more curious about Glasnow’s signature long hair. When asked about his hair care routine, Glasnow said he simply uses shampoo and conditioner or a hair mask, leaves it in for a while, rinses it out, brushes it, ties it up, and that’s it. Our Rays pitcher also uses whatever hair products are available in the clubhouse and will use hand lotion if his hair feels dry.
It’s clear that Glasnow’s long locks have become a signature part of his look. As for his travels, it’s always exciting to hear about athletes experiencing new cultures and adventures outside of their sport. Was Rays pitcher monkeying around? While Glasnow’s monkey encounter may have been unexpected, it’s clear that he and his girlfriend had a memorable trip full of unique experiences. TBT
