Tampa’s least affordable housing rank is terrible. Tampa has been ranked as the 16th least affordable city in the US for homebuyers. This according to the RealtyHop Housing Affordability Index. The study examined 100 cities and used statistics such as projected median household income, median for-sale home listing prices, local property taxes, and mortgage expenses to calculate the index.
This is bad. In Tampa, residents see 50.26% of their yearly household income going towards homeownership costs.
