Who Is Tampa Bay’s New Jeopardy Star

Who is Tampa Bay’s new Jeopardy star? Troy Meyer, a Tampa music executive, has recently made headlines for his impressive run on the popular quiz show “Jeopardy!” Over a five-day period, Meyer raked in a cool $170,401 in winnings, which qualified him for the show’s Tournament of Champions. He will be playing again tonight.

One of the things that sets Meyer apart from other contestants is his accuracy. According to thejeopardyfan.com, he has been correct 153 times and incorrect only 11 times. That’s an impressive 93% accuracy rate!

But Meyer’s love for “Jeopardy!” extends far beyond the game itself. In fact, it was the show that brought him together with his wife, Genevieve Sheehan. The two met through a mutual love of the show on a “Jeopardy!” fan site, and after Sheehan appeared as a contestant on the real show in 2009, they met in person and fell in love quickly.

Love of the game also runs in Meyer’s family. He revealed to host Ken Jennings that his mother, who recently passed away, was a huge fan of the show. Meyer has dedicated his run on the show to her memory, saying “It was emotional up there without her being there.”

Overall, Troy Meyer’s story is one of love, dedication, and a passion for trivia. As he takes the stage again tonight, we wish him all the best and look forward to seeing his impressive run continue. TBT
