Hurricane Nicole Reveals Mystery From The Past
The fury of Hurricane Nicole has passed through Florida, but she unearthed a mystery in her wake. A beachgoer discovered human skulls and other bones on Chastain Beach.
Martin County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the scene to identify the bones. It appears that the remains are possibly several centuries old and belonged to Native Americans. “The bones will be turned over to historians from some of the local universities are here,” Deputy Jon Budensiek said. “They will make sure they are properly respected and preserved for history.”
Once DNA tests are done on the bones, they will be laid back where they were originally found. [SOURCE Click Orlando]
