Lainey Wilson Reveals In Tampa Who Will Be Walking With Her On The CMA Award Red Carpet

Lainey Wilson let the QYK family at Guitar Pull know who will be walking with her on the red carpet at this Wednesday's CMA Awards show.

The CMA-nominee was telling the crowd about her latest song "Heart Like A Truck." Lainey said that she wrote it for anybody who's been through "heartbreak, hard times, hard luck, you name it." She proceeded to tell the audience that the last three months of her life have been the best months of her life professionally, but on the personal side of things, she had to deal with her father's medical emergency that had him in the ICU for two months.

Lainey said her father, Brian Wilson, is the toughest man she knows. He taught her how to pull up her bootstraps when times got tough, and now she's telling him the same exact thing. Brian is home now and will be walking with Lainey on the red carpet at the CMA awards on Wednesday night! Lainey dedicated "Heart Like A Truck" to her dad because if anyone has a heart like a truck, it's him.

This is the first time Lainey has been nominated for a CMA. Her first time around she has six nominations, which include, Song of the Year, Music Video of the Year, Musical Event of the Year, New Artist of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year, and Album of the Year.

Lainey herself posted to her socials when she heard the news, "6 NOMINATIONS!?!? I'm speechless."

You will also get to see Lainey Wilson perform not once, but twice during the CMA Awards. Once during the Alan Jackson Tribute and she will perform her new duet, "wait in the truck" with Hardy.

Back in March Lainey brought home ACM Awards for Song of the Year and New Female Artist of the Year.
