Enjoy Free Fitness Classes In Downtown Tampa
Nothing beats exercising outdoors. Now, you can enjoy free fitness classes in downtown Tampa.
Imagine having the Tampa Riverwalk, the University of Tampa, and the beautiful skyline of Tampa as a backdrop while you burn calories? Get fit for Fall…well, Florida Fall, at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park with free classes. The Tampa Downtown Partnership brings five different exercise classes Sunday through Thursday from 6-7 p.m. for all who want to workout in downtown. The classes are:
- Sundays at 6 p.m.- Yoga in the Park: Downtown Tampa’s longest-running free fitness class welcomes yogis of all skill levels and focuses on kindness and overall body and mind wellness.
- Mondays at 6 p.m.- HIIT in the Park: Get ready to sweat with this high intensity group workout that combines body weight, muscle conditioning, cardio and others movements, all synced to music.
- Tuesdays at 6 p.m.- Zumba in the Park: This Latin-inspired dance and cardio workout will raise your pulse! Zumba workouts will be located at the stairs near the mist fountain and the Tampa Riverwalk.
- Wednesdays at 6 p.m.- Dance in the Park: These “booty shakin’” dance fitness classes incorporate easy-to-follow, repetitive, choreographed moves. The best part: no dance experience necessary!
- Thursdays at 6 p.m.- Pilates in the Park: These classes will be hosted by the new Downtown Tampa BODYBAR Pilates studio. Make sure you bring your own mat and be prepared for a core-focused workout.
